Torrance and San Pedro, CA Dental Specialist, Dr. Apel Keuroghlian, is an Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgeon that graduated from UCLA. His career began with a biomedical/biochemical engineering
degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated among the top of his class. Throughout
his undergraduate education in engineering, Dr. Keuroghlian researched the effects of the different surface
characteristics of implants and their integration with bone.
He later decided to further his education by obtaining a dental degree from USC. While at the USC School
of Dentistry, Dr. Keuroghlian received several endowed scholarships for academics/research including the
California Dental Association research scholarship and academic scholarship as well as the Class of 1964 endowed
scholarship. He once again graduated amongst the top of his class. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoyed the
surgical aspect of dentistry while in dental school and decided to further his education in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery at UCLA which includes a Medical Degree from UCLA, as well as an internship certificate in general
surgery.
In addition to practicing at Total Family Dental Specialists in the City of Torrance, he currently holds a
faculty position at UCLA. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoys what he does and is committed to enhancing patient care
by integrating his engineering, dental, surgical skills, and education. He is dedicated to patient care, and
looks forward to continuing research in the future.
Dr. Keuroghlian is fluent in both English and Armenian. When not working, Dr. Keuroghlian enjoys
travelling, skiing, playing basketball, or just hanging out with his friends.

Torrance Endodontist, Dr. Bita Moghaddas received her DDS degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Texas. She
then spent a year at Olin E. Teague Veterans Center, completing her General Practice Residency and later went on to
earn her Certificate in Endodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York.
Dr. Bita is a member of American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, California State
Association of Endodontists, and Orange County Dental Society.
With over 18 years experience as an Endodontist, Dr. Bita takes pride in providing patients with quality
care in a comfortable setting. She is very thorough in her explanation of procedures and answers all patient
questions and concerns. Her calm demeanor and gentle touch is reassuring for patients and puts them at ease during

Dr. Paulina Nguyen, DDS

Dr. Paulina Nguyen grew up in Monterey Bay, CA and completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA and dental
school at USC. She always has had a passion for working with children and has traveled abroad including Thailand,
Vietnam, and Mexico for dental mission trips. Following dental school, she worked in a pediatric dental office and
decided to continue her training by completing a pediatric dental residency through NYU Langone in Hawaii. Her
post-doctoral training in Hawaii enabled her to serve children across four different Hawaiian islands while
advancing her training in general anesthesia, oral sedation, orthodontics, and special needs patients. She returns
to southern California where she aims to provide not only provide quality dental care for infants, children and
adolescents, but also create long lasting positive dental experiences from a young age.
In her free time, Dr. Paulina loves to spend time with her family, husband and adorable labradoodle Nalu. She loves
trying new restaurants, drinking coffee, and running by the beach. During basketball season, you can find her glued to
the TV or in the Staples Center cheering for the LA Lakers! Dr. Paulina is also fluent in three languages: English,
Vietnamese, and Spanish. Although Dr. Paulina is a dentist, she is a child at heart and looks forward to learning the
latest Tik Tok trends and dance moves from her pediatric patients!

Torrance and San Pedro Dentist, Dr. Linda Chen specializes in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. She completed her
undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University and then went on to receive her dental degree from Columbia
University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Chen continued her training at Birmingham Department of Veteran Affairs for her General Practice
Residency and followed with a Dental Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed
her Advanced Prothodontics Residency at West Los Angeles Department of Veteran Affair, while holding the position of
Chief Resident. Dr. Chen later went on to a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Fellowship at UCLA. She has also
spent several years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at both USC and UCLA.
While at the Veterans Hospital, Dr. Chen also worked with patients who had been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, but
were CPAP intolerant and therefore needed an alternative treatment. With the help of the lab, Dr. Chen would have a
Silencer appliance fabricated and fitted to the needs of the patient. For many CPAP intolerant patients, an oral
appliance is the preferred form of treatment as it is less invasive and geared toward patient comfort.
Dr. Chen, while being extremely knowledgeable in her field, also has the ability to speak with patients in both
an informative and calming way. She has quickly become a patient favorite because of her soothing nature and gentle
dentistry.
